Spirit of Texas Arabians is a Full Care Horse Boarding facility that is owned and run by Selena Copeland. I offer Full Care Boarding at an ideal location for the trail rider, located near Dallas / Fort Worth. I love Arabians, but other breeds are welcome. A side gate opens onto 75 miles of permanently marked equestrian trails on the LBJ National Grasslands, the perfect location for scenic trail riding and training on the trails. The obstacle course is a great place to prepare for Competitive Trail and Working Equitation events. Spirit of Texas Arabians has been in business for over 25 years, most of the that time we trained horses and riders for endurance and trail riding. Today I show dressage and trail ride. Although we no longer train, you can count on having an experienced person to care for your horse and accompany you on the trail or help with advice.
One of the farm gates opens right onto 75 miles of well marked horse trails at the LBJ Grasslands, no trailering required to head out on the trails. There is also a full size dressage arena, a small indoor arena with mirrors and a working equitation / trail obstacle course to allow practice for ACTHA, Competitive Trail, and Working Equitation events judged on obstacles. The 16 stall barn stays warm in the winter and all horses are blanketed as needed. Stalls are 12x12, barn has skylights and vents. All stalls get ample shavings and are cleaned daily. Horses are turned out in large managed coastal Bermuda pastures with large oak shade trees, but brought in during inclement weather. Pastures are fenced with pipe and non-climb 2x4 horse wire.
